After a night of Barbeque and drinks at Toufic’s
place, Michael , Bushra and I went to see
the Power Boat racing at the Marina. A nice activity
for the day after...
Here is Bushra in her brand new Bentley! They pay well
at HP!!

And Bushra and I in the one we use on Sundays...

We went out to the pier to get a better look at the
boats racing. This is what the Marina
looks like from out there. The high-risers in the back
are some of the new buildings out
there, a lot more are on their way (I think about 250.
Big is much better!).

The boats on their way out. Very impressive AND noisy!

sample and a live view!

One of the two Norweigan boats, little flag on the
end.

the other one.

And they’re
of!

An intense chase.
The Norweigan boat took the lead early on in the race
and stayed there.

The local team, Victory Challenge, had their own
helicopters; one pr. boat.
One of their boats gave up, the other came second.

Bushra (also known as Sporty Spice) and I on the pier.
Next year we will bring the whole picnic-set!

The race was shortned by the bad weather reducing
visibility, but a winner was still found.
Here is the winner boat from Norway!

The official Prize Giving (Bushra and I had great
spots, just to the left of this picture!).
The guys dressed in white are royalty (I have been
told)!!

A great day out! Seeing the Power Boats were amazing,
a lot of money is involved here,
So of course, it’s a favorite sport here in the UAE!
