And on we go... Going up to Asturias is an amazing
trip, especially for someone coming
from the desert...

A small village on the side of the mountain.

We went to Asturias to visit Alex and see his kids,
Nicolás y Martina (muy pronto en
español, lo prometo!!). This is Alex father’s house on
the Camino de Santiago,
the pilgrimage route. He has restored it and has
turned it in to an really amazing place.

That’s how close the mountains are here...

Alex and Alba in the kitchen.

Corrupting poor Nicolás with a sheesha. Unfortunately
we couldn’t get it to work.

The nearest village is Salas. Here is some idyllic
scenary...

And a little more mountain.

On excursion with the Alex-family in Puerto de Vega,
an amazing little village on the coast.

Heading to the most perfect beach, Barayo. You had to
work for it, 45 min. by foot.

But it was sure worth it... Here Alba is enjoying the
wawes.

Time to head back up...

The official goodbye picture. Who said Spaniards are not
tall???

Back on the road, we passed another Parador, this one
in Benavente.

This is how it looks in the professional pictures...

After a tour of more Paradores and being treated like
a queen, it was back to Madrid for
a few days with Benedickte and Paz. And yes guys, they
are single
(or were last time I checked, but you never know!).

It’s impossible to describe feelings in a page like
this. But guys, I really love you and had a
great trip. Hope to see you all soon.
